The MGA Company is divided up as follows - 1 - Production & Consultation One company with 4 different areas of work. Each with very different individual objectives but all with the same overall goal - To provide the highest quality opportunities to performing artists, professional training establishments and production companies based outside of London and to promote excellence in the performing arts here in Scotland. We train students, cast professional international shows, manage and represent professional performers, produce productions and manage events. We also work as consultants to several Edinburgh based and national performing arts organisations such as World Wide Events, Dance For All Theatre School and The Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts. 1 - Production and Consultation Formed as a direct response to the large number of companies and individuals contacting MGA looking for help, advice, and a creative input into their own projects. Having successfully produced, managed, directed and choreographed many large scale production shows, The MGA Consultants agreed to coordinate the creation of an In-House professional Production Company. MGA Productions will move forward in 2009, continuing to act as Consultants and Managers for many UK and European Companies, but with the goal of announcing their first in-house production at the end of 2010. 2 - MGA Management The really serious bit! So, you have made it through your training. . . what happens next? MGA Management is a professional agency with offices in both Edinburgh and London. We represent professional performers in all aspects the performing arts. We do not deal with extras, walk-on's, promotions or amateur performers. 3 - MGA Casting The MGA Company assist many UK and International production companies in their search for new talent. Organizing auditions, castings and workshops for agents, casting directors and production companies from as far away as Germany and India! 4 - The MGA Academy of Performing Arts The MGA Academy is an aspiring centre of excellence – training, supporting and promoting young performers here in beautiful Edinburgh. Mindful that there are very few independent, specialist Musical Theatre Academies outside of London that provide not only the expert tuition required but also the industry contacts and career development tools young performers deserve, The MGA Academy strives to give those London-based schools a touch of competition from ‘up north’! It doesn’t all have to be about London, you know! |
